Drop-in center
SCO’s drop-in center is a warming shelter in the winter and cooling shelter in the summer. It’s a place where people can hang out, have a cup of coffee and enjoy some great conversation. It’s also home base to access all of our programs. If you or someone you know is looking for a little extra assistance with food, clothing and other items drop in and talk to one of our volunteers. We can help you out.

Client Aid Advocacy
Our team of advocates are there to help people living in poverty and people at risk of homelessness solve any problems that are impeding their path to stability. If you or someone you know in the Steinbach area is struggling with homelessness or poverty and needs help navigating the system, connecting with resources, accessing affordable housing, or tackling overwhelming problems stop by our drop in center. We are happy to help you out.
Income Tax Program
There are two things in life that are certain, and one of them is taxes. SCO has a team of volunteers who will file your taxes for you, for free, if your income is under $35,000.00 per year.
The Bridge
The Bridge will hosts 24 units of low rent housing in Steinbach for individuals experiencing poverty in our community. One of those units is set aside for transitional housing.
Today House
Today House is Steinbach’s only homeless shelter. It’s owned and operated by Steinbach Community Outreach.
